How can I request for an item to be added to the Library’s collection?
We have an option to request items on our Library Catalog!
Once you’ve logged in, simply go to “My Account”, where you’ll find a tab called “Reserves / Requests”. There you will find a form you can fill out to let us know if we’re missing something.
Inside the library, you can also ask the staff and we will be happy to take your requests.
I have a card. How do I access Overdrive?
Go to https://adlc.overdrive.com. All you need is your library card. You will need to enter the number on the back of your card including the special character at the end. You will not need to enter the spaces between the numbers. It will ask for your pin. If you cannot remember your pin, try the four digits of your birth year. If you need help, let us know!
If you would like to download the app, look for “Libby” in your mobile device store. You will need to look for Mid Arkansas Library System when it asks for your library’s name.
Does the Library do inter-library loans?
Yes. This service allows you to borrow books, documents, DVDs, etc. from other libraries, when our library does not own the item you wish to use. Items may not be requested if they were produced 6 months or less from the time requested.
Can I reserve an item online?
Yes! To reserve an item online, you need to go to our Catalog and sign in to your account. From there, you can search for whichever item(s) you’re looking for. Once you click on it, it will bring up that item’s record in our system.
On top of the record, there will be a button that says “Reserve This Item”. All you have to do is click that, and we’ll take care of the rest! Once we have the item for you, we will call, text, or email you to let you know it’s waiting for you in the Library.
